Olivier Delattre : MD, PhD was trained in pediatric oncology and genetics. His research area mainly investigates the genetic and biology of pediatric cancers. In particular, his laboratory has identified the genetic alterations of a variety of childhood cancers including Ewing sarcoma, rhabdoid tumors and neuroblastoma. Olivier Delattre is a key opinion leader in pediatric oncology, spanning degrees from medicine to biology sciences, and a major research contributor with constant publications in top-notch journals such as NATURE, NATURE GENETICS, NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE and CANCER DISCOVERY since 1992. Olivier Delattre is Director of the Cancer Biology and Genetics department INSERM UMR 830 and Director of the SIREDO center, a pediatric center of international stature that was created in 2017 at Institut Curie. SIREDO (French for Care, Innovation and research for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer) gathers researchers and physicians in the oncopaediatrics, adolescent and young adult fields to bring new medications to patients as quickly as possible: this center provides an unprecedented platform accelerating the transfer of research-derived innovative therapies to the clinic. Thus, Olivier Delattre represents the archetype of a true bench-to-bedside physician-scientist with international recognition.
